Directed by Danishka Esterhazy, U.S.A. A behind-the-scenes experience at a Banana Splits show descends into nightmare when the animatronic puppets turn murderous. Despite some decent gore, there’s a certain flatness to this; it needed to shift into a higher gear towards the end. Part of a frankly baffling subgenre featuring lifesize cuddly toys that kill. 3/5.
